Beach wedding Permits. Do you need one for a beach wedding..? This is a question I get asked a lot. And it’s a fair one, since some beaches are private whilst others public. Here you’ll be left in no doubt to make so you don’t run into any embarrassing disasters on your big day.
How Much Will it Cost Me?
Price varies depending on where you’re getting hitched. I know from experience that a Florida Beach Wedding permit will set you back about $90. However this isn’t the rule, as most are cheaper than that.
Do you know if beach wedding permits are required at the beach where you plan to tie the not? If not, better make sure to check with the local city government there, since some beaches don’t need one. I’ve seen times where written permission was enough, but 9 times out of 10 girls you’ll need a specific permit, girls.
Hey, you can always spend those few extra days in the sun, building up a tan.
What Do I Need to Provide?
The right documents! You wouldn’t believe the amount of times I’ve seen brides-to-be apply for beach wedding permits, but get rejected because they simply missed something out. Don’t make the same mistake! Proof of Liability Insurance and Tax Map information which shows the area of activity is what’s needed.
Beach Wedding Permits are usually required for a beach wedding — just make sure you’ve got the necessary documents and apply for one plenty of time in advanced!

Beach Wedding Cakes..How To Find a Reliable Vendor
You’ve got your beach wedding favors sorted out, snatched a bargain designer number off Ebay, and checked the weather reports. Now there’s beach wedding cakes to look at.. Here I share some of my best tips for finding a reliable wedding vendor.
1. I’m gonna recommend straight off the bat that you get the hotel you’re staying at to prepare one for you. Most hotels will throw these in for free. If you’ve decided to design your own though, check with the hotel if it’s ok to bring your cake to the country. Some don’t allow it.

2. Use your own judgement and ASK AROUND. Ask your girlfriends and your family. Just say to them, “Hey, do you know any decent vendors around”. I advise you go to at least 3 vendors and check each of their prices. The vendors to look for are those that actually want to help and not just see you as another potential sale.

Fun Suggestions for Getting Married on The Beach
Here are some great ideas to consider if you are planning a wedding at the beach.
More and more couples are going off to exotic locales and getting married on the beach. It is one of the most romantic settings. Here are some ideas for the wedding and reception to help you keep with this theme.
Beach Theme Invitations
You could get the theme off to a good start by putting a small amount of sand in each guest’s wedding invitation. Another idea is to have the invitations resemble a postcard with a photo of the bride and groom at the beach with the words, “Wish you’ll be here...” You could also take a photograph of that wording written in the sand.
Beach Wedding Decor
To decorate guests’ chairs on the beach, you could string garlands of shells, starfish or coral between their seats to connect them. Use charms of sandals as wine or champagne glass markers at the reception. You could also have white galvanized buckets holding bottles of water for your guests to take as they need throughout the ceremony and reception and give each person a palm leaf fan to stay cool. You could also place four large rattan poles upright into the sand and drape white gauze over top as a canopy for your guests to sit under. Gauze is only about $5 a yard and comes in a variety of colors if you do not want white.
At the reception, use decorative pieces of driftwood as place card holders and thread either a beautiful ribbon or natural raffia through a sand dollar to use as a napkin ring. On each table use candles that smell like tropical fruit such as mango, papaya, coconut and kiwi.
Line the base of your gift table, head table or buffet table with real grass skirts – the raffia ones in natural, not the cheap green paper ones.

For your wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses if you want a long dress, consider a loose fitting and fluid scarf dress with an empire waist, and either halter, strapless or off the shoulder. Beach Weddings Bring Ocean Awareness to The Forefront
As more and more couples opt to veer away from the more traditional wedding ceremony in a church and look towards more budget friendly options and/or unconventional ceremonies such as destination weddings or beach weddings a trend seems to be arising. The mere desire to have a beach wedding reflects an obvious love of the ocean. There is a serenity, peacefulness and calmness that no one can deny when amongst the sound of waves flowing in and out. For a couple starting a life together what could bring more harmony then uniting beside one of the most beautiful and powerful forces our planet provides.
Couples are now being inspired to give back to this wonderful beauty that so many people take for granted or abuse. As a show of appreciation they are opting to take donations for Greenpeace in lieu of wedding gifts and handing out pamphlets alongside the ceremony program or with the beach wedding invitations outlining the key threats to our oceans.

Beach Wedding Attire...It's Not only about Your Dress!
So he finally popped the question and you said....yes! And now the romantic in you wants that perfect beach wedding you have always dreamed about. So the planning begins and of course the most important decision is what the heck are you gonna wear? Yes, we all know your wedding dress is the hardest thing to decide on but have you stopped to consider what else you will need to pack? You are going to be frolicking along the beach and in the ocean after all.
Starting with your beach wedding dress, you must decide on the appropriate fabric that will breathe nicely in the warm weather such as tulle, organza, silk, satin or chiffon. You may even consider a cotton slip dress. Strapless and shorter length dresses are popular, however, in certain destinations it may be cooler on the beach than you originally thought so you may want to stay with a traditionally longer dress or have a shawl handy. Also keep in mind the length of the dress in case you are going barefoot or in sandals as you will be near water and sand. Keep in mind your dress should pack well and that you keep it with you either in a garment bag or carry on when travelling.
Remember to think about the following things when packing your suitcase; what type of shoes do you want to wear...heals, sandals, or nothing at all (going barefoot is the latest trend), what kind of jewelry will you wear...traditional diamonds may be too extravagant and you may want to simplify it with pearls or seashell necklaces, earrings and bracelets. What wedding bikini do you want to wear instead of your regular bikini. What type of wedding loungewear have you considered (there are a lot of fun beach wedding attire you may not have thought of). What is your husband-to-be going to wear (sometimes that is even more difficult to figure out than your dress), and have you thought about your garter and wedding lingerie?
Do not forget that your hairstyle is also important part of your whole ensemble...how do you want to wear it so that it will easily and simply compliment the beach surroundings as well as the rest of the attire? Keep in mind you may have a breeze off of the ocean so you may want to rethink wearing it down as it may blow on your face and be an unnecessary distraction. Perhaps a casual updo or some fresh flowers will do instead of a tiara or veil? You may also opt for a wide brim straw hat if you have sensitive skin or think you may be in the sun for an extended period of time. You may need to keep these ideas in mind for the wedding party also as they may have special individual needs.

Welcome Beach Brides
Hello Gals,
Hopefully you have perused my site www.beach-wedding-ideas.com and found lot's of great ideas for your upcoming wedding on the beach. I got engaged about a year ago and realized as I was looking for ideas on beach weddings on the internet that there really wasn't much out there. So I decided to put this site together as a one stop resource page for brides wanting to get married on a beach. Over the past year I have come across some tacky ideas that I wasn't really keen on putting on my site but after much digging finally found some classy and cool suggestions. And the list kept going.....I started with attire and invitations and next thing I knew I was including favors, decor and much more. I will be adding hurricane stats so along with marriage licence info (if it is already on there then disregard this..:). I welcome all your feedback and any suggestions or things you still need help finding or figuring out. I will be adding articles on here either I have written or others have that I have found to be very helpful when planning my beach wedding.
